Pregnancy Update 2

So here I am again... I really thought that I might be better at writing about the whole pregnancy thing on my blog but to be honest, I hadn't been all that excited about it the first few months. Such a huge change on the horizon.

I was a little depressed the first month and a half...

1. The shock, "Oh my gosh, I'm really pregnant! Our lives are over!" I'm 36 almost 37 now and I've gone all this while without children in my every day life... It's not like I'm in my early 20's and this is all I'll know... so a bit of adjustment for me.
2. I slept all the time... even at work on my half hour breaks I would go out to the car and sleep (ok, I only did this once but still...)
3. I was scared... we had tried for so long and then all of a sudden... I'm pregnant. Weird!

But Jim and I are truly happy. I've been very lucky, no morning sickness!!!! I've put on a few pounds, (my arched back doesn't help hide this pregnancy look either! ;))

Jim and I have had an unsettling week... we decided to give our dogs up for adoption last weekend. This seemed to be much more harder for me. We took them to the Flagstaff Human Society they have really low dogs now and almost a zero euthanasia... basically they will keep them till they are adopted as long as they are well and good spirited. They will be loved in a much better home then we could provide for them in the long run.

I've had 2 ultrasounds, one at week seven and then another one at week 12...
We had a bit of a scare, I started bleeding the other night, it wasn't "bad" but we didn't know either way and the doctor had us come in the next day for an ultrasound... All was good!
We saw our little tot movin around and waving at us! So cute and amazing all in one. (For some reason our scanner isn't working on Jim's printer so no pictures right now... sorry!)

Something else a bit exciting... Jim won round trip tickets to Australia at a convention he was at in Florida so we are off down under to visit Gregory and Dan for about 10 days in the middle of June... it's winter there so it will be nice to get away from the AZ heat.
